Community Involvement

This past month we had the opportunity and were proud to sponsor a youth basketball team led by Syracuse basketball legend and Henninger graduate Lazarus Sims. Our goal was simple: help give these kids an opportunity to compete, grow, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

What we never expected was for them to bring home a 1st Place Championship… and then bring the trophy to us.
This trophy isn’t ours. It belongs to the young athletes who put in the work, the coaches who invested their time, and the families who supported them every step of the way. But we’re incredibly honored that they chose to share this moment with us and allow this trophy to have a home at Hummingbird.

To Lazarus Sims, thank you for everything you do for these young men and women. The impact you’re making goes far beyond basketball.

Hummingbird is excited to be part of the Food Truck Battle at the New York State Fairgrounds, one of the largest gatherings of food trucks in Central New York. The two day event is bringing together more than 50 locally owned food trucks along with live music, local artists, family activities, and plenty of great food. It will be a fun opportunity for the community to come together, support local businesses, and celebrate everything that makes the region special.

At Hummingbird HVAC, we were proud to attend the Central New York Home & Garden Show—an exciting event that brings together homeowners, renters, and industry professionals to kick off the spring season. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community, share ideas, and showcase solutions designed to improve home comfort, efficiency, and overall living spaces.

Hummingbird HVAC was proud to donate the labor and five new HVAC units to the Central New York S.P.C.A. during a critical time of transition. This project helped restore safe temperatures, improve air quality, and strengthen the shelter’s infrastructure to better protect the animals and staff.

Hummingbird Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric donated and installed a $40,000 HVAC system for Mary Nelson’s Youth Center in Syracuse, ensuring kids once again have a safe, cool place to gather, eat, and thrive.
