I had Hummingbird replace our furnace in October of 2023, central air in April or May of 2024, and today they just finished the install of 4 ductless mini-split units in my upstairs bedroom. We have worked with Chad, Veda, Dallas, Jason, James, and Connor. All excellent experiences. All of them are kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Our units are all whisper quiet and efficient. They provide the most detailed estimates I've ever seen, and very flexible payment options. I really enjoy working with Hummingbird.

Succinctly describing my experience with Hummingbird: 1) Innovative solution to a complex problem. 2) Master technician (designer) and friendly crew that installed the job working with us to maintain the integrity of our home (exterior). 3) Outstanding customer service (office staff assisting with NYSERDA rebate.) Our job was complex. We spoke to many NYSERDA qualified and recommended heating and cooling specialists. Each provided approaches that were clearly within their expertise: boiler or heat pumps. But not all in one. This is what separated Hummingbird from the other capable contractors. Dallas Letiza (the Master technician I referred to) designed a whole house system converting a steam boiler to heat pumps, and qualified the job with the NYSERDA rebate program to maximize incentives. We now have heat and AC delivered efficiently rather than an inefficient steam boiler and window air conditioners used previously. Yes people with older homes (ours built in 1925), this can be a solution for you. There is a sizable upfront cost that can be blunted by the rebate and long term savings. Hummingbird will provide the necessary detail so you can make an informed decision. Be aware as with many things in NYS, rebate processing can be slow. (In our case slower than expected due to some changes in the program.) But this is where the excellent customer service came into play. Ashley Sgroi was our partner in this process. She kept us calm as we waited and provided as much information as she had acting as our in between with the State. She did describe that "this is a process," and communicated with us every step of the way, until receipt of the rebate. (THANK YOU ASHLEY). In all a satisfied customer with a pleasant experience.

Love my affordable yearly maintenance program for both heat/AC. Jason was very knowledgeable and walked me through everything he did. Very competent/knowledgeable, friendly, and trustworthy in my home.

Our AC would not kick on so I called in and was able to get an appointment right away. Sam showed up to our house and was very professional. We felt comfortable right away as he was very kind and explained everything to us. Overall the experience was great. We agreed to a price we are very happy with and are excited for our install in just a few short days. My furnace stopped working and was producing a foul smell. My tech Tano came in and was methodical and explained every step in diagnosing the problem. He was knowledgeable and really gave me confidence the work was done right. They delivered same day service for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend

Had my gas furnace replaced this week. Professional staff throughout the whole process.
Installers were very knowledgeable and explained everything they were doing. I felt confident in their ability. They were efficient and cleaned everything up when done.
Not the cheapest or most expensive company but I felt that they offered the most detailed estimate including replacing and upgrading the system compared to other providers and they had the best warranty.
After the install the technicians showed me the new system and answered all my questions.

Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The tech that came to my home, Sam was very clear in explaining everything regarding my HVAC. Took his time and explained several options on how hummingbird HVAC can assist with the needs I had. My equipment is old and I knew that I would be advised to replace. My AC currently uses old refrigerant that is no longer readily affordable nor recommended. Understandable. Sam was great. Long story short, they had several options that they quoted me for. I never once felt any pressure and they let me decide what the affordable solution was going to be for me at this time. YES….it is completely affordable and they are coming tomorrow to install!!! Wow! Amazing. I recommend Hummingbird 1000% !!!

I took a chance with Hummingbird after we started having trouble with our boiler. I could not be happier! The technician, Sam was fantastic, well informed and so polite! They didn't try to sell me things I didn't need, got me up and running for the initial service call fee and arrived when they said they would!!

Even though they couldn’t replace my furnace, they were very professional!!

Within an hour after I called for an appointment, a technician came to the house and expertly diagnosed the problem with my heater. He explained the options to take and described the issues of my system. He was very knowledgable and extremely kind the whole time. A very positive experience. I would recommend this company to everyone and would not hesitate to call them back.

The furnace in our home stopped working around noon on Friday. As it is early March, we are still experiencing cold / winter weather outside, and I was concerned about going into the weekend without heat. And we are remote from large population areas, 30 minutes or so outside of Syracuse. I called Hummingbird Heating and Cooling and was promised a technician would arrive within 4 hours.

Hummingbird technician Sam called us about 15 minutes later to say he was on the way.
Sam came to our home and quickly diagnosed the problem. He then finished installing a new thermostat we had planned to install after he repaired the problem with the furnace.

Sam is definitely a skilled technician and he was a real pleasure to deal with. Gina and I highly recommend Hummingbird Heating and Cooling to anyone in the area who needs service performed on their heating and air conditioning system.

Where do I start?? Wowwww the customer service 10/10. My first contact with this company was a wonderful lady that was able to schedule me next day for an appt with a tech... TANO came out and gave me the bad news🤣🤣 needed a whole new furnace. He told me and showed me what the issues were. Went up in the furnace with a camera so there was no question what the problem was. I had a crack in the heat exchanger. BAD BAD BAD!! Made a phone call to the office.. BRIAN, the office manager I believe, another amazing gentleman kindly gave me all the information I needed to make a decision. Explained everything thoroughly with NO PRESSURE. He got me scheduled the next morning with the installers. (I have now been 4 days with no heat). The installers came RIGHT ON TIME(called me when they were on the way), came in, introduced themselves, and got right to work. Any questions I had were answered. Extremely polite and knowledgeable. Awesome team. ADAM & CONNOR. LOVE THEM!!!
Work was completed around 2:30. They explained and showed me everything they did. They were kind enough to replace my ugly & old thermostat. Showed me how it worked and I was all set. For a high efficiency furnace, I can't complain about the pricing. It was fair and financing is available for those that need it. Very reasonable plans. This company who I had never heard of prior to 3 days ago is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Give them a call. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

Jason was very professional and did a good job explaining what he was doing to clean my furnace. I am however still waiting for an estimate on diverting one of my runs. I was supposed to hear the next day but so far, no word.

They came out and looked at my furnace. I told them it was an older Carrier. 1975 to be exact. They had no interest in fixing it or knew how to. Paid $139 for a wasted service call and misdiagnosis. I had to hound them for them to tell me this. Never again.
